How much does EV charger installation cost in the UK?
Most UK homes pay £800–£1,200 for a professionally installed 7kW smart charger. With us the range is £916–£1,142 fully fitted, and the price you see covers the charger, cabling up to 10 metres, installation, certification and DNO notification.
Why do you publish fixed prices instead of "from" prices?
Because "from" prices almost always grow on the day. Our photo survey tells us your cable run and fuse board before we quote, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay. If your home needs something extra, it is in the quote, not on the invoice.
What makes an installation cost more?
Three things: a cable run beyond the included 10 metres, an older fuse board that needs upgrading, and awkward routes that take longer on site. Your photos reveal all three before we quote, which is why our prices can be fixed.
Can I install an EV charger myself to save money?
No. EV charge points must be installed by a qualified electrician and notified under building regulations. A DIY installation would be unsafe, void the charger warranty and make the property harder to sell. Installation is also where the grant eligibility comes from.
Is a home charger worth the money?
For most drivers, quickly. Against public rapid charging, home overnight charging saves a typical 8,000-mile driver well over £1,000 a year, and a few hundred pounds against petrol. The charger usually pays for itself inside the first year or two of driving.
Is the price I am quoted the full amount I pay?
Yes. The fixed quote is the complete price for the finished, certified installation with any grant already deducted. There are no call-out fees, no survey charges and nothing added on installation day.
