Who we are
Charge At Home is a trading name of Equinox Contracts Ltd, company number 16920695, registered in England. We install EV chargers across North Yorkshire and North East England. For anything in this policy, contact us athello@chargeathome.co.uk or on 07356 289700.
What we collect and why
We collect personal information only to prepare quotes and carry out installations:
- Quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, and your answers about your property and charging needs. We use these to prepare your quote and contact you about it.
- Photos you send: pictures of your fuse board and parking area, sent by WhatsApp or email, used to confirm your fixed price and plan the installation.
- Calls and messages: if you call, message or email us, we keep the correspondence needed to manage your enquiry or job.
Our lawful basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running the business. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing without your consent.
Who handles your data
- Quote form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Formspree, a form delivery service.
- WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under their own terms.
- Grant applications require us to share relevant details with the government scheme administrator.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become jobs are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed installations, including certificates, are kept for the lifetime of the warranty and as required for tax and regulatory purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailinghello@chargeathome.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.
